Dr. James Dzisah is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Sociology, University of Ghana, Legon where he teaches Sociological Theory and Development Sociology. Dr. Dzisah holds a B.A (1st Class Honours) in Sociology from University of Ghana (1999), M.A. (2003) and PhD (2007) in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada. He has lectured at the Departments of Sociology, University of Saskatchewan (2008-2010) and Nipissing University (2010-2013) Canada. He did his post-doctoral work with the Triple Helix Group at the Newcastle University Business School, England (2006-2008). Dr. Dzisah’s research work revolves around the Triple Helix of University-Industry-Government linkages, Development and Entrepreneurial University. Dr. Dzisah is a Consulting Editor of the Triple Helix Journal and the Managing Editor of the Ghana Sociology and Anthropology Journal. He is author of several journal articles and the co-editor of The Age of Knowledge: The Dynamics of Universities, Knowledge and Society (Brill, 2012; Haymarket, 2013).
