Professor Kwadwo Owusu

Kwadwo Owusu is Professor at the Department of Geography and Resource Development, University of Ghana. His areas of teaching and research interest are climatology, climate variability and change impacts on agriculture and water resources and smallholder adaptation to climate change. Prof. Owusu has worked on many international research projects geared toward improving smallholder farmer’s resilience to the negative impact of climate change on agriculture and rural livelihoods. He was the foundation Coordinator of the University of Ghana Climate Change and Sustainable Development Programme from 2013 to 2016. Some of the major climate change research initiatives and consultancies led by Prof. Kwadwo Owusu in the last ten year include the “FutureDams” project, Climate Smart Cocoa Systems (CLIMCOCOA) for Ghana, sponsored by DANIDA.
