Professor Baah-Boateng is Professor and Head of the Department of Economics.  His primary research focus is on the Economics of labour and labour market institutions; skills development, economics of industry and development economics. He has led and collaborated with other researchers in a number of research projects including Economic complexity and employment opportunities for women and youth in Africa; Innovation and employment generation in Ghana; Growth in West Africa: impacts of extractive industry on women’s economic empowerment in La Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana
